It says West Knoxville so I'm assuming they mean AAA. Local news channel decides to be cryptic and not mention the name of the store. Don't ask me.

Why can't that kinda stuff ever happen at Christian book stores?

The name of the store and the location would be, I don't know, SLIGHTLY informative.

What are they supposed to be in the news bussiness?
Correct, timely, and informative news apperently isn't their bussiness?

If that were AAA, I'd be impressed, since it's in a strip mall. Containing a fire like that? Neat parlor trick.

The only other comic store would be Collector's Choice in Farragut......

That one seems more likely since it is actually west whereas AAA is more central.

Since I know the guy who owns AAA, I called, and as it turns out, he does know the really neat parlor trick of containing a strip mall fire.
I'm going to go look it over. It's not often my comics dealer burns down.

Actually... I got to see it. Well, the end of it at least. A friend and I drove past apaprently after it had been put out, because there were no flames. There were about 7 firetrucks, a cop car, and a news crew. We couldn't see any of the damage, though.

Which store was it?

Is there a comic book store on Kingston Pike in the shopping center where Noveau Classics used to be? There was a fire there last night I know for a fact. I was at work and the fire trucks used our fire hydrant and they blocked off the Pike for a bit. Their response time was pretty bad. I heard an alarm for half an hour before anyone showed up.
Sad News to hear

I hate to hear about that. Comic shops have it hard as it is in today's market. It's really sad to see a store that can stay in business have to deal with a fire. Has anyone found out anything else about it? I'm from Clarksville Tennessee and the only decent stores we have are in Nashville and Dickson.

AAA Comix. In Colony Square. Same shopping center as Little Italian. Just a few hundred feet west of McKay's.
I just got back. I don't want to say too much, but from anybody driving by, you could tell by the pile of ruin out front that the fire was rather vicious. The owner's a bit pissed, obviously, but it's something he loves, and I'm pretty sure he'll be reopening, somewhere, soon as possible.

Yeah that's the one close to my apartment. That makes me sad. All those poor defenseless comic books burned to death. *sniffle*
