Yeah. I met her. She was really cool. The stuff on her site, and the postcards that your friend gave you don't do her work justice.
I first saw her stuff in a bookstore there in Alameda. They were boxes made from crates and found objects... including dead animals, and covered with Plexiglas.
It was really funny, because I wanted to show my stepson one of them but I had to pick him up to show him. He was looking at it and was like, "that's really cool... gross, but cool." Then he and I both noticed the small cockroach she had placed in the corner. He started going, "Put me down, put me down, put me down..." See... he has some allergies, one of which is cockroaches.
We ended up meeting her at the annual Alameda Art Fair (which kicked *much* booty). That's where I first saw her Polaroid emulsion and image transfers, and where I first found out about the whole process. I still want to buy some of her transfers someday.
She was supposed to update that page at some point. She even talked to me about doing it, but she was pregnant when we met her, so I assume the baby took over her life
