Karaoke tonight, Giant Panda in Bearden - 9/24

See, here's the deal: last week, the Giant Panda was nice enough to not charge a cover for "us", and they did charge a cover for "everyone else". What ended up happening, whether because of the cover or the singing, is that we successfully drove all the "normals" away. I mean literally all of them, to the extent that the bar staff was probably pretty upset at having a whole lot of customers just not there. So come on out before they decide that letting "us" sing our songs is bad for business.
Plus, as anyone can tell you, I rock a mic like a vandal.

I will not be attending this panda as well. I instead will be at the electric ball room for live music by Cutthroat Shamrock. I dunno if there is a cover or anything yet but just giving yall a heads up.

Yeah! Are my boys playing at the Ballroom tonight? Hmph. Mr. Ben's gonna get a spanky for not calling me.

From what I understand regarding the cover not being charged to those who were with our group:
Two weeks ago a large party showed up for someone's birthday. The party was made up largely of about 30 university students. Evidently some things got broke, and there were rumors that some things had been stolen from the bar. As for the extent of the rest of the details, I'm a little fuzzy. What I do know is that after that, they decided to continue letting anyone who was with the group that has been going in for free and charging a cover for anyone else (most likely because we drink like fishes and are relatively tame). The bar is nice and the kareoke book is fairly extensive as far as the kareoke books that I have seen. I have had enjoyable nights there conversing with people and even butchering Bowie songs in the process. With the kind of consideration they are showing our group, I will definitely be there tonight.

I am morally opposed to karaoke, but thanks for the invite.

Ya know.....
As fun as all this sounds I am just morally opposed to a sign that looks like a BIG panda "humping" a LITTLE panda. I like to call that place The Humping Panda. May be the reason I've only been there once. The experience was less than wonderful.

It was fun, though that Megan girl pierced my eardrums and hit levels of obnoxiousness that I've never experienced before. I like the Karaoke there, though the crowds are much larger than they used to be.
And no.. it's not "goth" karaoke.

Sorry I missed this one, guys! I HAD to catch up on some sleep.
I hope to see you all next Wednesday, though... excepting , of course, any of those with moral opposition. We must all respect our own convictions as well as those of others, after all, right?
