I am absolutely in shock. I feel like they've discovered the Loch Ness Monster or something - a longtime, impossible dream finally coming true!

"I grew up watching Doctor Who, hiding behind the sofa like so many others.

And surprisingly, Caustic played this wicked version of the Doctor Who theme at Black Ball, hopefully I can find out who preformed this awesome cover and share it with the rest of our Gallifreyian fans....

It was most likely Orbital's version. He might have played the "Terror" version but its hard to come by.

I can't believed you missed out on that one.
It truly was the best thing to happen.
I was in shock at first....i was suprised that it was played.
And I do beileve that it was the "Terror" mix...It didn't have Troughton sampled at the begining of it.

thanks Caustic!

BTW~ Steve..I like you location sig on yer avatar...Nice...kinda make sme nervous with you all scheming behind me and all that.

I'm sure that Martin, Steve, and/or myself could help you with that.
It is just finding the right episode to make you das crack addicts like we are.

"Pryamids oF Mars"....or "Talons OF Whang-Chiang"????
Maybe even "EarthShock"......

We all know Pertwee was the best. We should start her there.

Maybe "The Sea Devils".......not "Inferno" though...A bit on the long side.

She definatly needs to see a little of them all. To get her own idea to which she likes the best.

my fave is Tom Baker. But, I'm all about some Peter Davidson or Slyvester McCoy as well.

And the audio adventures make me want some Colin Baker.....If only Paul McGann would do another show.

Witout a doubt, I think "Pyramids of Mars" is the best Doctor Who to start a novice on ... it has all the quintessential elements: A good plot, interesting villains, the "Egypt was visited by aliens" plot done a good 20 years before the existence of Stargate SG-1, plus you even get a good look inside the TARDIS.

Also, "Genesis of the Daleks" ... that one is a classic all the way around ... a futuristic morality play. Cheesy as hell but I love it!

Five Doctors

One of my favorite episode would be The Five Doctors. It had a great story and all the Doctors (Minus Tom Baker and William Hartnell ). And before the the borg there was my favorite, The CYBERMEN. :-)

Actually "The Five Doctors" would be a good starting point.
Or perhaps "The Curse of Fatal Death"

Ok so here's the deal ...

Are we going to get together another Doctor Who viewing party? If so, I'd be most pleased to attend, I have a collection of videos that's pretty healthy. Maybe we need to get together and watch some. :)

Personally, I would love to sit down and watch some good Dr. Who episodes. I haven't seen that many episodes, but I know the basics (Timelords, the Master, the Daleks shouting "Destroy! Destroy!). The few episodes I have seen are from the Baker era with the robotic dog and I would like to see some episodes with the other doctors. If you guys decide to organize something keep me in mind.

Viewing Party?

I'm down! Armed with many tapes & DVDs ... hey maybe we can do a Dr Who virgin cheer a la Rocky Horror.

I say nix on The Five Doctors though ... what's the point of a nostalgic reunion show for someone who's never seen it?

I say Robots of Death or Stones of Blood or Carnival of Monsters or something like that.
