"I am twenty three now, I am more mature"
Red Flag Number 1 : People aren't mature untill at least 25, usually much older.
Red Flag Number 2: Saying "Im wicca" is a sure sign you're not.
Red Flag Number 3: For fucks sake its Rollingstone.

I thought, 'wait, doesn't she have a new album out already?' so I rechecked the article date then I looked at her picture again and realized I had her confused with that Michelle Branch girl, which isn't hard seeing as how they've been grouped together in all forms of media since the beginning.
But I agree with Eve...I have words regarding what she said. In times like this, there's nothing to be done but turn your head and walk away.

I doubt she is though. I mean Sully Erna from Godsmack has even admitted to being Wiccan (correct me if I'm wrong), so who knows.

todays lesson: MARKETING KILLS EVERYTHING.
ill put this in mild computer geek (no lang, no syntax, just general illustration).
main ()
{
this bitch == dumb bitch
goth gimmick == ANOTHER pain in the ass for us
this bitch != wicca
wicca != goth
this bitch == marketing ploy
/* furthermore */
godsmack !=worth mentioning or breathing
Sully + wicca == marketing ploy
if (this sells > i hope it does) then
yay! we get more shitfuck stereotypes to bother us because some pop bitch got a corset and an evanensce album;
}
and no, if this is goth, IM the antichrist. not many people in this scene are as big a fan of hurting people as i am. can you fuckers imagine me on some rolling stone interview if this bitch is goth? id make bin laden look like a troubled sensitive man. :snoochie boochies:
and people bitched about what manson did to the scene, HA. wait till she gets praised as the goth savior. id rather trade my goth card to get 96's stereotypes back. and furthermore ive already had do to this shit when punk got the GIANT commerical spike when i was growing up. granted it was pretty much defunct then, pop punk really killed it and then emo killed it and then screamo claims it revived it and its all a big lie. none of these fuckers have ever lived the life that spawned it. just to do what they wanted to do. i did, so i hate that shit. goths have been hitting problems with their sterotyping most of the goth mislabeling has happened inner scene or been some big obvious mistake. if this one goes thru, the goth scene will deal with what the metal scene had to do when korn came out and what punk had to do when the words blink entered it.
HAHAHA! ITS THE GOTHS TURN.

My thoughts on the subject is, it's going to be shit, she's just trying to sell, goth is trying to get into the mainstream. At least so called goth is, true goth will never get into the mainstream, she is using goth as a marketing ploy as previously mentioned by junkie.
i doubt i will support this even if i like it because i have a very strong feeling that it will be prefabricated shit.

Ya know just because ya discovered corsetry, and your feeling a little blue and angry,does not make you goth, nor does wearing black and funny hair for that matter

Who the fuck is this anyway? She looks about as vapid as that girl on Friends......Pick one
Ah well, as JC mentioned, been there before. I remember when industrial was used to describe music that is now described as experimental. Industrial today has very little to do with bands that started the movement. I think that this happens to all genres really. What does the pop country of the Dixie Chicks have to do with Hank Sr? About as much as NIN has to do with Einsturzende Neubauten. And about as much as this person will have to do with Siouxsie Sioux.

To Vanessa Carlton's credit, the girl does have talent...well, she did unless Stephan Jenkins has sucked it all away. Boy does that man suck hardcore.

And, by passing judgement before even hearing the album, you become just like everyone else in the world. Perhaps a little bit of an open mind should be called for in this case. How can you speak of the horrible songs and album which you have yet to hear?
I have to agree with Queen of the Flock, she is a talented artist. So, who knows, this may be a great album, then again it may stink up the countryside.
My point, don't bitch about it until you hear it (and that won't be until next year). Then, complain all you want, or praise.... it makes no difference. This album is still going to be made and sold.
Think back..... Who could have EVER imagined that some little goth looking christian band would have huge mainstream hits and dance songs? Not everyone likes them, but you have to admit that you would never have predicted their success. If you don't know who I'm talking about, then crawl back under your rock. That is all.
My two cents......

This is a serious and dread offense. How dare she not contact the High Goffic Council before using the 'G' word? I vote we violate her corpse like the proper sp00kies we all are.

Yay! Someone agrees with me. Heh. Personally, I love her cover of Paint It Black....I like her voice. Then again, I'm also a cover junky unless it's just a song I consider totally sacred or if I don't feel the artist worthy at all (i.e. Britney Spears covering Joan Jett and calling her Pat Benatar). Just my warped opinion.
