here's an interesting article on slashdot on a "Super-DMCA" bill for TN. Share an internet connection or cable with a friend? neighbor? run a home network? If this were to pass that means you could be convicted of a class-D felony... $1,500 - $10,000 fine...

That's funny. Just the other night,I was pondering hooking up my neighbors with internet provided by my comcast modem.(For a fee of course) But,I gave up the dream because,I figured it was illegal already. :-x
