I wanted to tell all of you THANK YOU for your support in the Fete Des Fous Event! I apologize if I seemed "short" with people, but I was running around like crazy all night. We had a wonderfull turnout, and some GREAT costumes. I hope that all of you got there early enough to go next door to the coffee shop and see all the other artwork that was presented...........alot more pieces were there.......I hope that you all enjoyed the breakfast bar as well.
Thank you for comming and enjoying the festivities. I know that the pricing was confusing....and to me as well to some degree. I know that it was pricey.....and that was not within my complete control. We WILL be doing regular events/theme parties at fairbanks and the prices will be cheaper and more simple........................................... Love you all.

Dark Elf.

Muwahahaha! Now that you have given me permission to rant...
Well first off nice venue nice sound. The security and staff kept bugging me about my costume prop >.< Drinks were a little spendy and no malt liqour... Entrance fees.... I wont even go there... Now as for the costume contest... Where were you supposed to sign up at? and where were the judges? That didnt seem like much of a contest to me... :?: Just out of the blue anounce winners? But I do think that everyone that won did deserve to win very nice costumes ^_^ I just wish I knew where to sign up for it so that I would have had a chance also...

I had a blast! Costumes were great, folks were great, I got drunk, good times.

Comments.......no juice or coffee bars as promised. Not enough breakfast to go around. Drink prices were ok, but the food prices were Waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to much.

All in all a good time. Do it again and I will be there.

I vauguely remember attending this event...Methinks I partook of too much wine. Bar prices were not bad...My tab did not make me scream the next morning. Liked the setup and that you could hear the music without going into the auditorium / dancefloor. Lots of great costumes and loved the paintings. Saw at least one that I remeber I really wanted to buy...It was huge, would have covered my wall. I don't remember the costume contest at all, but I do remember the young lady dressed as Rei Ayanami...Rowr! Impressive!

As for the cost, hey, what the hell, it was a Halloween party. I can shell out 12 bones for that. Plus for me, the location negated the need for cab fare - nice.

All in all I say great job. The only complaint I have is when I heard what they were serving for breakfast, it sounded unsettling...Salmon? That would not have been pretty. Krispy Kreams next year, please. ;-)

First off the breakfast sucked. I mean, really.
Adams art kicked ass.
16 artists is excessive.
The idea is a good one and should be done again. Next time with reasonable and consistant door prices. I overheard a story of people being charged 12 when it's 'time period' on the flyer said 6 dollars.
It's hard to get people to dance in front of stadium seating, with people in those seats watching, but that considered-the dj's did well.
Did i mention the breakfast made me and a friend BOTH sick?(pipework issues).
And there wasn't so much of an art 'show' as there was art showing in the background.

an ambitious project which seemed to fall a bit short, but beginnings are always difficult, still-i had fun.
