7) Suicide Club (Japanese splatter fest - already out and eagerly awaiting my DVD copy)
Confederacy of Dunces (they cast Will Ferrell...Ugh)

10) Finally, no official work of it happening, but Sam Raimi has stated that he would LOVE to do another Evil Dead movie. So... Evil Dead IV - Hail to the King Baby

You'll be happy to hear that Depp is venturing back into Hunter S Thompson territory. He is working with Benicio Del Toro on The Rum Diary. Sans Terry Gilliam this time though, and the character is not exactly Thompson, more of a surrogate. I'm eager to see what they do with this lessor known work of Thompson's.

2)episode three
3)alien vs predator
4)the sequel to house of a 1xxx corpses (it got greenlighted a few weeks ago)
5)resident evil 2
6)the punisher
7)hellboy
the next batman movie
9)ghost rider (found out today..)
10)willy wonka (if it ever sees daylight. i still think they should have cast manson as wonka. that would be stone cold perfection, manson acts way to much like him)
note i didnt list ROTK because it comes during my busy weeks and i wont be able to see it till i have time so theres no need in getting my hopes up.
and i didnt list dawn of the dead remake because i think it will suck as bad as the night of the living dead rips that are already in existance....

Addressing some JC comments here:
Last rumur I heard about the House of 1000 remake was that it would be a road trip movie with the Firefly clan encountering another serial killer familiy and them trying to outdo one another. Pink Flamingos anyone? Still, I loved the family dynamic of the first and eagerly await seconds.
So sorry to here about the Preacher casting. I dread the forthcoming announcment of something along the lines of Seth Green as Cassidy...
This could have been something amazing, but I suppose we will just have to settle for what was about the greatest comic book ever.
Sadly, Ghost Rider will suffer the same fate as Constantine...Nicholas Cage.

Yes, the Mardsen guy or whatever is cast as Preacher and that makes me sick too. I loved that series. And Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider... YUMMY....
I am just waiting on the new lord of the rings movie.
I have not read the books, combat my lack of culture.

Damn I forgot to add The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra to my list but as for Constantine, Nick Cage stepped off that project ages ago... Keanu Reeves has taken it over...

I don't know which is more frightening...I assume they are still sticking with the ridiculous concept of JC as an American vs. an Englishman? I thought that guy who played Spike on Buffy would make a very servicable Constantine, stick to the English roots and use the lung cancer storyline...Now that would be a great Hellblazer film.
Also, on the subject of Preacher, how would you all approach this? One film? Open ended for sequels? Who would get cut? I see it as 2 films, shot Lord of the Rings style at the same time. The 3 major conflicts, the Grail, the Saint, and Granma should remain, all being driven by Genesis/god. Cut the rest.

thats about the way id like to see it, cept the granma from a cinematic perspective is one hell of a 5 minute flashback scene.
i think they should make a TV series if they really want to cover preacher... think taken style. miniseries.

An HBO miniseries! All the language all the violence all the perversions! May be a bit much for hobo, but I think they could do it very well. The Stand could have been so much cooler that way. I just hope they don't fuck up Cassidy or the Saint with their casting, but the character most likely to least resemble their comics persona: Tulip. They will never get her character right.

none that can act has tulips body. period. that will be a compromise.
id bet money cassidy gets fucked up..... some dennis leary wanna be will get the part (though i think steve bushemi (spelling) might be able to pull it off and could get the part... maybe someone from snatch??)
the stand woulda rocked as an HBO thing.
and that would be the only way to do preacher
you know the dialogue wont have the Ennis touches unless he writes it though...
