this is just another one of the could be scares thru the bush administration and/or those tree hugging hippie fistfuckers that shame the name liberal..... ive seen this argument before, i think its something that could happen... but the powers that be own enough oil to sustain this country as a whole at a rising rate (all econ fuel ratio predictions are calcuated on a upward slope of intake because its unrealistic to assume that progress will stay constant or shrink..) for a estimate of 10 years, ample time to get us out of the crisis. as far as the econ devestation of the enviroment this would cause...
dont believe everything you read on the net.
A) stats are easy to fake.. ive been thru all the stats classes my university offers except the last and i cant get into it because i dont have enough calc.... but i can show you how to fake those and make it look professional as hell.
B) i dont see a correlation of causation between alot of the facts.
C) they (as edwards calls them, a term im starting to love) "insiders" in our government will have a solution for a "cost effiecent" system that phases us an oil replacement(s) for productivity purposes... for almost every use of oil theres a substitute...
bottom line: if the "insiders" stay in our governement as it stands, your gonna be involved in either a) a civil war b) a police state or c) a smoking hole where our country used to be before this happens...
and thats my ten year forecast.....

there was a patent in the mid 70's that got bought by the oil companies.
Someone built a carburator off the patent and was getting 60 MPG city and 80 MPG highway on like a 72 chevy powered by a 350 small block.
Yep a carburated engine getting 60 - 80 MPG.
The technology for those motors has been around since the 20's. A company that later became Holley Carburators make a carb. for tractors that ran on spent crank case oil.
And Diesel engies will run on slightly processed turkey guts if they are started with striaght diesel fuel then weened over to the awful.
