• Old Gray Panorama

I made my first stitch-panorama today. It's a 180 degree view of Old Gray from the north gate about two hours before sunset.

I'm not all that pleased with the results, so if anyone else has done stitches before, I could use some advice.

I took some more photos while I was there. They're on my xanga, but in a much better format at my domain.

Comments, critiques welcome. I'm new to photography.

Oh, that is lovely! I especially like the light quality in combination with the panoramic format. I used to snap a few off in that cemetary years ago. I did mostly b&w back then. I like your color shot very much, though.

The transitions between pictures are too apparent. On the high res version for print, it's even more obvious. I'd like for it to be much more seemless. I got some good advice on it, though, on another forum. I'm going to redo it soon.

could try an overlaping shot at your seem points.

The image seems to have lines of different tonal values between the images stiched together.

Probally your light meter reading each scene differently.

That's not so hard to fix in photoshop. If you have a copy you can adjust you contrast/color to get it all even.

Yup. Exact same advice I got on another board. I now know how to get the same meter for all the shots on my camera for future reference
