X talked me into buying this, and i'm glad he did. its a quite accurate film about meth addicts, and how they live. Part of the film seems to be shot as if the viewer is high as well. There was a bit of extremity on costumes, but other than that it was really good.

That is one movie, along with Requiem for a Dream, that absolutely, most certainly, does not glamorize drug use.
My favorite is when he's trying to say he's normal for tying up the girl and leaving her and Brittany Murphy's character is like, "Noooo, you're not normal.."

Nope, I showed it my a friend of mine who has been a user for sometime. She used to do it a couple times a day, she was hardcore. It's been 3 days that she's been clean. Seeing it made her ask if she was really like that. Crazy how shit like that can change a person's life. Hope like hell she stays clean.

I have known a few meth heads in my day....I avoid them like the plague.......That movie was so accurate it gave ME goose bumps.....I didnt think the costuming was that extreme. I could see the reasoning behind everycharacter

Well Miro Sorvino's costumes were totally weird. But everything else was pretty good. The masterbating with the sock that says "I love me" was halarious.

Requiem for a Dream
I bought it. It was good, but the whole as to ass scene was the point that made me go, DAMN! GREAT movie!
Oh yea that chick stayed clean for a litle under a week, that's so sad.

If you get the DVD check out the stuff on the guy who wrote the movie (he's the guard standing behind the character in prision who keeps throughing up while he's mixing the food) the open lines of his life are " I was born dead".

Haven't seen Spun yet, but I did enjoy Requiem. The odd thing is that I have not watched it more than once since I bought it. The soundtrack is super, the acting top notch, and it is wonderfully shot (I enjoyed Pi also), but it is all such a horrible downer. So it sits collecting dust on my shelf of great films, but I wonder if I will ever be in the mood to endure it again?

Hmm I didn't watch any of the DVD extras, and yes its depressing as hell. I haven't seen Pi, but its next on my list of films to buy. X is always right..well...not always

Requiem is one of my alltime favorite movies BECAUSE its an exact depiction... you start off good... START.

Junkie, you gotta see SPUn, its prolly more realistic. But, the way its shot is semi odd, but in a good way.
