will be coming to Knoxville in concert on April 22 at the Thompson Boling Arena.

The details.....
Thursday, April 22nd at Thompson-Boling Arena.
7:30 Show time. Prince & The New Power Generation will be playing mostly old music but in a new way.
Tickets are $65 and $49.50 depending on location.
Tickets go on-sale this Saturday (February 28th) at 9 AM at all Tickets Unlimited outlets. By phone at (865) 656-4444, or on-line at

I have to say that the contest that one of the radio stations was running for tickets to the show the other day was rather entertaining. The DJs were having people put their cell/cordless phone in the refrigerator, slam the door as hard as they could, and whomever's refrigerator made the most noise won the contest and tickets to the show. Maybe it was a little too early in the morning, but some of the people participating in the contest really made me giggle.

I'd love to go but I won't be able to afford it. All my monies right now are going into my trip to NYC. I'm having even less of a life than I did before (if that's possible) but it'll be worth it when I get to NYC.

Picked up my ticket yesterday. I've never spent so much on a freakin' concert ticket...
Oh well. I consider it a once-in-a-lifetime event: The Purple one in the land of Orange!!
