“Satanarchy” is a 30min. puppet show of the EFFING PIEBALD FRUITCAKE PUPPET THEATRE that was recently broadcast on cable access Ch 12. It seemed to piss some folks off.
"Satanic Parody Airs At Taxpayers' Expense in Knoxville" was the 1st headline for this Ch. 6 news story but too many people complained about the obvious bias so they changed it after a few days to : "Parody Program of Satanic Rituals Stirs Controversy in Knoxville". Nice save Ch. 6! I can’t thank them enough for the free publicity their sensationalist story has brought us. This one really backfired on them.

The “outrage” has generated the most e-mail debate they’ve ever had on any subject. You can check out the forum by going to:

I hear dabout this on the radio and I really wanted to call them and be like "ARE YOU SERIOUS???????" becasue they opened with "YOur tax dollars paying for satanism on public access" No my tax dollars go for freedom of speech on public access..................I think? But whatever......I mean I dont take much on public access seriously anyway.........I once saw a fitness program where the people demonstrating the workouts were "mentally challenged". OH MY FREAKING LORD. AND the chick wasnt making fun either. Yes it was hard to watch!
HA Ill be sure to tune in.

Heh I remember public access in Seattle, was highly amusing, a dominatrix had a little show, some psycho spouted his conspiracy theory about ABC and the death of Kurt Cobain, and a few other amusing programs. If you can get it on, then more power to ya

if thats the case, i think all religious shows and channels should be removed from tv.

Actually, from the CTV website: You pay an annual $24 access fee in order to be able to broadcast your program on CTV. You also are required to take broadcasting workshops should you desire to use CTV equipment in making your program. Lastly, I think there is a $1 per minute fee if you are doing live broadcasting.
I can understand where some people might get offended at a Satanism parody, but the solution is simple: Change the channel if you're offended, or get your cable company to cut off CTV ... or hell, pay your $24 to CTV and make your OWN programs. It's Community Access television after all ...
I would get in on this, but unfortunately, as I live outside Knox County, it's no go.

Yeah -- this was definitely one of the low points for our local broadcast media. It was tabloid journalism at its worst, as far as I could tell -- creating a controversy, taking things out of context, etc. Hard to even count how many questionable ethical practices went into it .... I'm surprised that the Poynter Institute or Columbia School of Journalism hasn't had anything on it.

I'll pretty much jump on the band wagon when it comes to pissing off christians. there is only one thing about this program that disappoints me. I live in Murfreesboro and didn't get to watch it. the Rutherford ocunty public access is really bad. Lots of really terrible garage bands on it... I do mean REALLY BAD.
