• yay new VAST!!!

VAST's third CD "Nude" has been released in stores! They haven't had a new CD since in 3 years? 4? Something like that. Anyway...They're very good, very raw, personal songs. Gorgeous music, umph umph male vocals. Hardly anyone I've spoken about music to has ever heard of them, so I thought I'd spread the joy.

OOH..wow. I haven't seen the video for "Pretty When You Cry" in years...well, since Auralfixation lived here...

I loved the self titled album not too much a fan of Music For People, definately looking forward to the new one,though.

I loved the self-titled album as well. It is my favorite by them. Music for People is a great album off to itself, but I prefer the clashing ambient/electronic overtones to the first album. "I'm Dying" is the song that stands out the most.(Which naturally it would to me, being a fan of Enigma..)

What genre, exactly, is V.A.S.T?

I absolutely love VAST. I own all three albums. The debut album is my favorite with the new Nude coming in at 2nd. I don't think you could possibly fit VAST into one definite musicial genre. It would do the music great unjustic to just limit it to one certain category due to the experimental nature of Jon Crosby's work.

BTW, Did any of you happen to see VAST in Atlanta at The Masquerade? I had the pleasure of meeting Jon and his touring band after the show. I bought my copy of Nude for $10 after the show and had it signed by all of the members. =D
