St Pat's

Any plans or ideas? St Pat's will be Wednesday, the 17th. I love good beer, and plan on partaking. I gather that the best places for quality on tap are Barley's, the Beer Seller, and Union Jack's. Any other suggestions? What I am looking for are places that may have the following on tap:
Guiness or Murphey's
Cider (for mixing)
Maredsous (Belgian...Yumma)
Tetley's or Boddington (English bitters)
Barley Wine or high alcohol beers
I know I can get these at Barley's, but I shudder at the thought of the crowd.

I can't say that they have near the beer selection that places like Barley's or Union Jack's do, and I don't know if they are doing anything in particular for that night, but you might want to check out The Urban Bar. I definitely prefer its atmosphere. I know they have Guiness on tap as well as Cider, and one of the bartenders there has come up with a great mixer with the Cider. In addition, they have dart boards and pool tables and the staff is extremely nice.
I will say that I am not sure about any of the rest of the beers there, since I am not a beer drinker. There may be others on the forum that can answer that question.

there use to be a ton of them (I think they were 7 operating at the same time) but that fad passed and I think UJ is now default emerald isles.

I don't think I can handle keggers anymore
There was a time I could beer bong with the best of them, but that time is no more. It's a good idea for you young 'uns, but not old onis. Union Jack's could be cool. I assume it is not very large, but it is closer to me than the Urban Bar I think, and so a cheaper cab fare.

Urban sounds good to me, or we could head to memphis, I had a killer time at some little place there after my brother's first wedding. Quite an experience.

I've never been to Urban or Union Jack's, so either sounds good to me. I'm not road tripping on a weekday though, cool as Memphis would be. Is Urban bigger than Union Jack's? Baby's gots to have a place to sit and it is going to be crowded. Nothing sucks more than standing up at a bar all night

I love Union Jack's and its atmosphere, don't get me wrong. I've just been in places here in Knoxville before on St. Patrick's Day, and I am afraid of the crowd that it would draw with its limited seating. As for Urban Bar, it does have a lot of seating and an outdoor patio as well.

Well we could hop between McCleods, Urban, Hannah's and a few other places in OC...

That sounds like a plan. Are they within walking distance of each other?
