YES!!! it finally happened.....little baby
Elizabeth Eowyn was born tonight about an hour or two ago. Daughter to
Jenna and
Dr. Thoss. She turned out 10.1 pounds-
very big and that means
not so comfortable
for miss JENNA. BUT do not fear-
she is doing fine now...no worries.
Eowyn has lots of lovely brown hair and she is large and seems healthy. She is so
precious
even when she cries ...but I believe she'll take mostly after her mother in her face though....(that's just what i think).....
Make sure you all give them your congratz OK? We are all so happy for them!

Yes, congratulations J.J. & Jenna! Your daughter is beautiful!
Mom & baby are doing well, with only slight difficulties experienced thus far. Both of them had slightly low blood sugar... probably due to mom not being allowed to eat since midnight Thursday night. They gave Elizabeth some formula with glucose to bring it back up. She looked great when we left.
Her time of birth was 8:23 or 24, JJ wasn't sure. She was 10 lbs 1 oz. She's got a headful of black curly hair & I think she favors her mother thus far. She's precious!

Yes, congrats...
Wow, my best friend has a one year old named Aowyn (purposely misspelled from the tolkien).
And to think I thought she might end up being a tiny preemie...HA!

OK, folks, here's the latest from my laptop in the hospital room:
Mom and Elizabeth are doing fine. Elizabeth fed twice from Jenna last night and her color's looking better. Her blood sugar's gone up and she's drowsy a lot of the time.
"This is the bestest baby in the world!" says mommy, who's an authority on such matters.
I concur.
She was 10.14 ounces at birth, and she has the most beautiful head of black/brown hair imaginable (tied up in a little bow by the nursing staff). Despite her size, they think she was probably a few weeks premature -- about 36 weeks along rather than 40 (my mind reels when I think of how much she might have weighed had we gone full term).
We're in 606 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
