A place where I can meet people who view the world in the same view as me? I mean, I feel so lonely and disconnected from people that I know, I have some friends, but none of them truely understand me, or why I listen to what I listen to, or what I believe in what I believe in. Is there a place where I can meet people from the area from this site?

Does anyone ever feel like anyone else truly understands them?

If you find such a place, let us know..

As for local hangouts, you could try The Urban Bar and Corner Cafe on Fridays, Eleventh Street Expresso House on Fridays or really any day of the week...

the day i meet someone who "truly understands" a person, im branding the understood person with a burning iron marked "shallow"

pray noone every truly understands you
fuck them
they are cannon fodder

you want to find peole to relate to.
All the mentioned places, they are a good start

good luck on your quest.

Nah, it's not him. This person seems polite..lol. Also, Jersey Boy has a tendency not to put any contact info, because I guess he doesn't want hate mail..

You think Im someone else? Peculiar...Anyways, this Sanctus you speak of, is there any certain dress code that I would have to adhere to? I tend to wear normal clothing, unless Im going out somewhere  And the other places, do they have websites or anything that would give me more info?

Umm santcus is heald by this site, so thre's your info, for "clothing" I guess you could check the pics, but I really don't think it matters. I usually wear pink. 11th Street, and Urban are just "normal", as you put it, places.

you can click on images in the sanctus section of the main page, that should give you a good idea. when in doubt, wear black, you'll blend in well, too.

its kinda like a fashion show. i've seen all kinds of stuff from basic jeans and tshirt, to rennaisance gear, to vinyl and spikes, to lingerie only, geisha girls, and the always dependable=little black dress. the lists goes on and on. boots are quite common amongst the ladies. big/small/knee high/thigh high/platform/stiletto, it all goes. i dressed up like a faery once, wearing a baby blue negligie, huge wings, knee high silver boots, covered in glitter, i even threw faery dust at people. on the "day of the undead" where everyone came as zombies and shit. talk about sticking out like a sore thumb. :D

the one thing i really love about sanctus is that it is the one place you can dress as pretty much whatever you want. in fact, it seems the crazier your outfit, the better. and nobody is going look at you like you're crazy. they might look at you funny because they have never seen you before, and prolly proceed to introduce themselves, but not because of what you have on. however, frat boy and sorostitute wear, i don't recommend. :-x

I'm pretty much new here, I can't drive, and I'm not eighteen yet, so I guess I'm pretty much useless in this, except to say that everyone here seems friendly so far. *giggles* But no one is truly understood by anyone, I don't think. Hope you can find what you're looking for, somewhat at least. Keep in mind that you're seeking friends, not clones. I'll ge glad to talk to you here, though, and if all goes well, see you at the December Sanctus! :D

No worries on the dress code...I get away with a t shirt, jeans and a jacket so I don't think it matters too much...the only thing that seems to matter is not to be an asshole...outside of that non goth types don't even raise an eyebrow..and if you want links for the websites mentioned there should not be a problem getting those were always happy to turn someone on to a new sites..just ask ibbie about that
