Trip NYC used to put out some pretty good stuff, hell, I own a couple of their pants and a shirt.
I don't know what the fuck they are thinking with their new spring line though. My god, who buys this shit? I mean really? What the fuck are they thinking? Ug! Polka dots for christ sake!
I'm sorry, but this shit just looks trashy as all hell. These are some of the fashion statements you would see on the yokels at the Roane County Flea market or some such shit. Check it out for yourselves...

The white trash stripe look like a friggin' Poison concert refugee...

POLKA DOTS!!! AHHHH!!! WTF!!??
seriously. polka dots.
pooooooolka dots.
your shittin' me, right?
no.
polka dots.

And last but not least. As if the elephant leg pants fad were not enough, now we have the "waiting for a friggin' flood" version.

bad
bad
bad
bad
bad.

I hope I don't see anyone wearing this stuff to sanctus.

Luckily we are all allowed to have different tastes in clothing and that is what HT tries to appeal to...different kinds of people.

The second dress is not a TRIPP dress, btw, it is a Morbid Threads dress. I personally detest pink...but I love stripes and polka dots....I don't personally like a whole lot of TRIPP stuff, especially the guys pants...

I like the rockabilly/retro type look...I recently bought these two dresses:

I love black and red too...

I wore the cherry dress out on Friday night to the old city, with some red and black cuban heeled stockings and my black platforms with the cherries on them...and I don't think I've ever been hit on so many times in one night in my life....so..I guess some people like the new spring stuff..

Different strokes for different folks I guess...

Zeo: you are just too funny!

Buttercup: big polka dots and stripes usually aren't flattering on people (but they look kewl on beach balls ). I do like that black dress you bought because the dots are small...and cherries are always kewl, no matter how big or small they are.

Aww, Buttercup, those dresses are cute. The top two, though... :P

I own no clothing from Tripp, and one black and white striped shirt, but the stripes are small.

Knoxville center is getting a HT tomorrow (I think that's when it opens) so I may look for a new dress there. I got some new boots, so now I need a dress to match. :D

They're pointy-toe ankle boots w/ a little buckle on the side and small spike heels. Any suggestions what to wear with?

Now here is something I can comment on in this thread. As soon as you described the boots a dress popped into my head and I had to sketch it out.....

it is black, of course (tho it has accent colors in dark purple or red, your choice) The bodice has an unaccented high waist and halter top, the skirt has a drop waist with a colored belt and large buckle to match the boots. It is a slight flair, a bit more than an A line with a double layer pixie hem skirt (the underlayer in your accent color) The angles on the hem and halter neck would accent the points and spikes on the boots and it is has an over all fun and flirty look, which is what an ankle boot always says to me. Now that I have given more of a description than most of you care about, I will add, if you want I can post the design I sketched up, and I may have to make one for myself, tho I don't own the boots to match it, pooh.

*shrug* ah well, you asked

wow, thankee. I can't sew, but maybe I can find a dress with a few of those features.

If I can find a way to get them to ya you can borrow them if ya like, they're a 6 1/2.

There's some that look alot like them here: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_5/602-8277745-7591014?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B00009M77F The only difference is a bow instead of a buckle and the seam in the middle. Same basic shoe.

not to be mean, but this at the time was fucking hilarious:
*standing in line for a gig, girl walks by with jack skellington scarf*

*boy: Oh my gosh!! I want to go to hot topic and get me one of those scarves so I can look so punk!!
*guy: hahhahaha!!
*boy: Holy fucking shit punk is a fashion now, so now I can go to the Good Charlotte show and they can't say anything about how I
don't look punk enough!!

personally, I liked the nightmare before christmas, but hey, it was still funny at the time... *shrugs*

Jake, man, you know I love you. The stripes do kind of remind me of fashionable prisonwear, however, I remember a time when you accesory if choice was knee pads. Rofl! Sorry, I couldn't ressit!
