KFAR is a pirate radio station supported by a community of artists, activists, DJs, and musicians. The format is open and depends on the DJ that is on at the time. Personally, I play industrial, retro, darkwave, jazz, and trip-hop. Pan 131 has been know to play similar things as well.

There will always be problems, since we're not licensed by the FCC and therefore, not legal. The licensing process is insanely restrictive and has effectively pushed anything but corporate radio off the dial and into oblivion - except for a few schmoes like myself and Arkady and a bunch of other intrepid airwave pirates that refuse to lay down and say die. We just won't let the corporations have it all. So, we're not out of the woods - and won't be until the laws are changed, which isn't going to happen anytime soon. I think what Arkady is doing is a definate step in the right direction. Keep up the fantastic work, amigo - and if I don't see you before Sanctus, I'll definately see you there.

Thanks bro. BTW, does anyone have any idea who our congressional rep is? We need to be contacting them about getting that stupid third channel complacency law changed.
