Trance and the Great Flood

There was a big ol' flood in Gatlingun yesterday. I hope that Trance and the SFA theatre managed to stay high and dry.
....So.....Does anybody know?

I'm not sure about the theater, but I heard they had to shut down the Aquarium and No Way Jose's, whch is riight down the road.

I heard that Rip-Off's Believe It Or Not almost added a major mudslide to its collection of oddities...

Yes, this is the cause for my concern. However I am unclear in my mind about where they are in relation to the river's topography.
Perhaps I worry needlessly, but I am funny that way.

Yep, supposedly the only part of Jose's that was visible was the roof.

The river went from its usual 2 ft. depth to 11 ,or so, feet deep.

The last thing I heard at work was that everyone was okay, although there was one beautiful moment when it appeared as though the Aquarium might be washed away in the river ....a journalist's wet dream .... sharks pouring downstream toward Pigeon Forge, octopi inching up the hill toward Hillbilly Golf, barracuda flopping about in search of Ohio tourists (why are they ALL from freaking Ohio, anyway?), and maybe even jellyfish drifting toward the Space Needle as the winds bear them aloft like leaves in the Fall ....
Well, it COULD have happened.

Not all Ohio tourists are "bad"! Hehe! Had that happened, Derrick and I would have been out there looting all the fish and corals his tank could handle.
I was over there today and everything looked fine, though I didn't go that far into town. The news said that No Way Jose's only got a couple of inches of water on their floor, which I'm sure they've had before, or should have at least considered as an option. I know my friend who works at Best Western (right next door) has had to evacuate people from the hotel due to the river rising in the past. I'm guessing all is fine, but I try to stay as far away from Gatlinburg as possible most of the time.
