I absolutely love Michael Moore even if he is somewhat of a propagandist. His books are intelligent and hilarious, and he has some really good points.
If you pay no attention to world events, you would not know that this won the Palm d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and Disney who owned the rights under Miramax? maybe would not distribute it. However, someone told me today that the Weinstein? Bros bought the rights from Disney so it will be shown in the US. Why would Disney be afraid of it unless its something the government and/or corporations would prefer us not to see?
Anyways, I hope Regal Downtown West gets it...I can't wait to see it.
I also recommend Bowling for Columbine and reading his books, Downsize This!, Stupid White Men, and Dude! Wheres My Country?

i refuse to take this expert advice from someone who cant put periods at the end of any sentence in the history of his computer usage.
j/k
everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if youd like to answer the questions this movie is about... well then you have the right to call people a moron.
a propaganda flnging lardass he may be BUT BUT BUT this movie actually has a point that i think the critics and bush-backers should try to answer if we are as bipartisan as we are told we are.

It wasnt ment as a sentance I was just saying what i think. That is minushis politics his flims have no dick or fart jokes and boobies and no under age drinking. So screw what Michels Moore thinks the man wins an oscar and cant thanks thoses who helped him no he has to bash bush and thats fine this is a america the greatest country the world has ever seen.Anyway i will wait for this one to hit the cheap bin at walmart and then i might pick it up other wise Michel Moore can take a flying leap or move to like mexico or at least go back down into his mom's basement with some subway (so his fat ass can lose some weight) and then maybe after some years of being down there he can try and make a decent film with some car wrecks and naked girls with guns and talk about how great america is.

It was a damn fine film...I highly encourage you going to see it if you can. He does a great job with this film. I am not so sure that I would call it a documentary - Time for that classification to get some sub-genres (God I love sub-genres: Neo trance, post industrial, new country, glam rock). Moore has publicly said that this is not a fair film and was never intended to be. It asks questions, many of which are unanswered, to make you think. We don't need to be spoon fed an answer to every problem, but we should certainly be open enough to discuss the questions! That is what I see as so important about this movie. I read one reviewer who compared it with propaganda films such as Why We Fight and Triumph of the Will. Not a flattering comparison, but pretty close. Moore has filmed this with an agenda, a slant, a bias. He wants you to come out of this movie feeling like you have been hit by a bus...And you most likely will.
