No need to be skeptical. We are in pre production and are trying to get things lined up and organized before we start filming the documentary so it can go smoothly. Believe me if you have ever worked on a film that has been a total cluster#$*# you will understand where I am coming from. We are trying to see if we can get enough interviews in Knoxville for us to come up there. Thanks for your interest and we would love to interview as many as possible.

Catch the cultural differences from different regions? It'd be best to take it on the road then. There are some rather marked contrasts between say, Tennessee, Arizona, and New York.
I'm assuming there's going to be a post popping up on Nashville soon enough. Though I can say that there'll probably be a fair bit of paranoia. After channel 5's "documentary" on "Satanism in the south" Nashville is a little burned still even after about a decade.

In your credits you list WHHS shorts. That's White House High School isn't it? You guys are doing this to get mansonite chicks to take to prom aren't you!

Being interviewed for this sounds interesting. The views and experience will probably be unique even among this crowd. We're the same age, Movieman. For age, we're in the upper percentile in the scene, though not the oldest. How many original cyber-punks are there reading KG? Qualifiers: The year is 80 something, the DKs are playing, the half-pipe is being thrashed, you've got a colored mohawk, the computers are busy hacking phreak codez and using the BBS nets.
Post more information please, Movieman.

Make sure you interview someone who knows what they are talking about...our "scene" has many that don crow makeup, tripp pants and manson shirts and, well, they aren't too genuine.
I'd say mz_kitty would be a good one to interview....as well as a handful of others.
As JaNell said once I believe, a lot of our members are "more knox than goth".
Remember all the crap the metropulse article stirred up?? I can just imagine all that shit happening again.
When I went to Philly for the Dracula's Ball, some people from Nat'l Geographic were there doing a piece on people that think they are vampires. I told them that out of the hundreds their, I'm sure only a handful thought of themselves as vampires, so they shouldn't portray us all as morons. So...be careful who you pick...

are you shooting this on film or video? 8mm or 16mm if film. Beta SP, Mini DV, or what if Video. and what do you use to edit. Tech questions mainly. I have been talking to Bone and Arkady about doing something like this here in Knoxville for a couple of months as well.
