it's about time. if we'd (we meaning mankind as a whole) spent all the money that has been spent since the 50's on war and the implements of war on space instead... I'd be living on the moon at the very least by now.

The Russians have been selling seats into space for some time now. Hell that Tito guy went to the damn space station. And if you got the $ you can buy Migs, lessons to fly them, spare parts, and even hire a Russian crew to keep your plane up and running.
