Beauty is in the time of the bestower...

If beauty you find, skin deep alone,
Fair of face, and firm of tone,
Another runway model clone,
Remember, ugly, goes to the bone.
We all have sides that we present,
To those we think are heaven sent,
To those, for whom which we are meant,
And to all others, go get bent!
We hold our graces for the love,
Who fits OUR ideals like a glove,
Brings peace, like the purest dove,
And sends us to a place above.
For beauty is a sacred thing,
It lifts you up on heavens wings,
You love, you hope, you wait, you sing,
You wear a golden shining ring.
But remember as the ages pass,
The face you see there, at the last,
Is weathered from the time that’s past,
And to its image, you’ll hold fast.
It won’t be fair to one and all,
For time it will have cast its pall,
Every year, from Spring to Fall,
Etched in flesh, within, withal.
But beauty you'll find there, only you,
Knowing, regardless of the hue,
That for the love you followed through,
You saw beauty, and it saw you
Fair of face, and firm of tone,
