• Alexander Augustine Esty is HERE!

Alexander Augustine Esty was born today at Ft. Sanders Hospital to KarlaBOO and Arkady! He weighs 7 lb., 2 6/10 oz. and is doing fine. Karla is well and everything went according to plan. Jason said that the baby came out and screamed. They will be taking him to Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care soon (for prediagnosed heart defect), after some testing has been done. The family does not know where they will end up, but will be leaving the room they're in right now, soon. More details will be posted when we have them. CONGRATULATIONS!

Update: Last night the fine folks from Vanderbilt flew to Knoxville to pick Alexander up. He was then flown back to Nashville. He was on a respirator because the meds he is on was making it difficult for him to breathe but happily, he was able to come off of it today and is doing well. He also opened his eyes today for the first time we were told.

Karla is of course beside herself (as am I) because she is separated from him for the time being. She will be released from the hospital tomorrow as far as we know and in fact is doing quite well other than being tired and sore.

I am currently a little stressed out because I have to work and tomorrow will be a very busy and long day for me. We have 4 bands and load in is at 12pm. (suck) I'll be at the hospital a little later to spend the night with Karla.

I would like to thank everyone who is thinking of us and who has taken time to visit. It means the world to us.
