My artist friend Mazdak has created a new digital masterpiece, and I'm not just saying that because it co-stars me. (The character may not look exactly like me, but the proportions are correct... heh)

Where does a being of pure energy go for solace? Disgusted with the real world and the pointless answers it offered, I entered into the world of dreams. Under the heat of four suns I sought to purge myself of the passions which drove me. Little did I know that the answer lie in embracing those passions. For what seemed like years I floated, alone and in agony, parched, cut off from everything but suffering. The pain was familiar, my own and my beloved. There was nothing in this universe but myself and the intense feelings I alone endured. Soon it would be over, my mind and my heart desiccated by the burning of the solar spheres, my body left in the real world to slowly wither and die and so end all sensation. If there were no useful answers in life, then the answers which waited on the other side of death would be my reward. I let go of myself completely, ready to fade into the nothingness which awaits us all. Then in the distance, the apparition of all I hoped and feared floated toward me. Surely, this was the final illusion, come to claim the last remnant of my sanity….
