Sadie Hawkins Day is actually Feb. 29th. It was originally celebrated that day because it was an unusual occasion for a lady to ask out a man, very much like it is unusual to have 29 days in February.

I don't believe a Sadie Hawkins Sanctus would be any different for me than any other.

I think all it will do is make for cool conversations when it comes to chicks asking guys to sanctus. It could even go as far as the guys being forced to wear chokers and chains, or maybe drag, or maybe, just maybe some people will get the courage to ask out someone out that they didn't have the nerve to even talk to. Speaking of which, this will be my first sanctus without frost after the handfasting, which means you can feel free to ask me.

i have yet to go to sanctus but that sounds like a good idea to me. i plan on coming to this month with my brother rev. hate

The idea of this kind of thing is great it lets the ladys step up and be brave and it could actually put a couple of the guys in their place...definatly would be interesting to see...

It looks like by the poll that the majority of voters would like to see it or at the very least wish to see more chicks ask dudes to a sanctus, which is what I am proposing. So in that case, you ladies need to let the object of your affection know that you are wanting their company. Remeber, only you can prevent empty dance floors.

I have to agree w/ them on this one!

Couples come together already, & soloists continue to come by themselves, or in small groups of themselves. If I have to ask someone, I'll ask Abby. Since my hubby doesn't come out, I'll stick with my very good friend who dances with me!

A Sadie Hawkins theme by itself may be too tame for this crowd. What if it was combined with a female dom theme? It might give some of the shy young lasses more of an excuse to assert their wills on the men folk. We could let the young ladies have multiple males & give a prize to the lady with the biggest harem. My money's on Lady I, but it could anyone's show!

This is sort of starting to remind me of the Sanctus prom from two years ago. I'm still giggling at the guys who went stag and wore horns to more or less symbolize that they were "horny".
