RE2: Apocalypse

Yeah its an apocalypse alright, with annoying fight scenes, tacky scare-jump scenes, and undead boobies. While the action is fast and furious, the jerky movements, and the close-up battle scenes which Hollywierd has been so fond of in recent years just irritate me. Just about the only movies with midshot fight scenes are those dependent on spectacular moves (Matrix shots) or martial art moves a la Jackie Chan. I don't mind fight scenes at all, I'd just like to see the action instead of 16 close up shots at different angles of people dodging fists. The plot was actually quite video-game-ish in simplicity (Yes, there is a plot... kinda) While I haven't played any of the RE games even I could see the simple goals and what not. And as all hollywood corporate-as-bad-guy movies go, justice prevails... with room for a sequel. It will be quite interesting to see. All and all, not bad for free. I'd recommend either a matinee, dollar theatre or wait for DVD.
