Mulligatawny Recipe

I made this the other day and it was very tasty
1/4cup onion
1tsp curry powder
2 Tbl butter
11/2 cups of cooked chicken diced
1 granny smith apple peeled and chopped
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
2Tbl green pepper chopped
3 Tbl flour
4 cups of chicken broth
1(16 oz can of diced tomato
1 Tbl parsley
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
2 whole cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
-In a large saucepan, cook onion and curry powder in butter until the onion is clear and tender.
-Stir in cooked chicken,apple,carrots,celery and green pepper
-cook about 5 minutes
-sprinkle flour into the soup,stirring to mix
-stir in broth,tomatoes,parsley, lemon juice,sugar,cloves,salt and pepper.
-reduce heat,cover and simmer for 30 minutes
