Monthly Pre-Sanctus Snacktus and alcohol binge at 4620
Yes, it is once again that time of the month where several of us who can’t get enough drinking and socializing done during Sanctus meet to do just that.
It had been a long standing unbroken tradition…..until a pesky X-ian holiday monkey wrenched the last one. I don’t think there are any more of those lurking about this time though.
At the 4620 Martini Bar (located at 4620 Kingston Pike) we shall gather at the usual time (that being 8 PM) and do the usual thing (eating, drinking, etc.).
Directions are as follows:
Cumberland Avenue runs though Cherokee hills and magically transforms into Kingston Pike. (This would be heading west.)
As you leave the section with all the houses….little strip malls spring up all over the place. The one you want to find is the very first one on the left.
If you see a big ol’ KROGER’S store….then you have driven two far west and you need to turn around.
Now you need to find the metal door with the martini glass rendered upon it. This is easy to find….since it is behind the concrete post where you can not see it. So just look in all the places you can not see.
Go through the door and down the spooky yet sterile stairway and though the next metal door….the one that usually has a sign about observing the dress code. Don’t worry about that….it is just to keep out the hip/hop-raver-rednecks.
Gaze with wonder at the lovely blue bar…..and all that…
8 pm on Sunday….we usually begin to trickle out of there around 9:45 or so.
It is a public place…everyone is welcome to go or not.
