• Can we get rid of Avatars?

And PIX in Sigs??
FOR NOW ONLY, Until we get the Server running faster???
I'm Falling asleep waiting for pages to Load.....
This is SO Damn slow compared to what I'm used to, (On Focaljet.com), and that's one reason that I don't visit or post as often as I'd like....

The avatars are not slowing anything down, Michael. The chat is sucking bandwidth. Dur.

I know that the Avatars and Such DO Slow things down, but I guess not nearly as much as that other Drama....

I think the most important thing to keep in mind with avatars is that the vast majority of them are not hosted on the KG server at all - they're coming from somewhere else.

I don't have any control over them.

As a test, I've increased the default chat refresh time to 10 seconds. We'll see if it makes a difference.

I will also point out that I'm posting this using a dialup account. I've had no problems yet with anything on the forum as far as speed goes.
