Posting Rate

In normal posting habits I am repeatedly running into "you cannot post so quickly after having made another post". Is there some kind of time limit to it that can be lowered? I timed it to go as long as 2 minutes without letting me post, and while that doesn't seem like a big deal, I can churn out a few posts relatively quickly and I'm getting blocked from immidiate posting fairly often.

Where it becomes a real issue is going back to edit typos that spellcheck doesn't catch, typing he for she, for example. I have to wait a good 2 minutes before it'll let me post the edited version after posting the mistake, just seems kinda silly and doesn't prevent much.

Bleh, I question the logic but if that's the way it is then that's the way it is.
