Just signed contracts for a chapbook collection of short fiction under the title "Marking The Signs and Other Tales of Mischief" to be published next year by Yard Dog Press. This collection is very different from my usual stuff, containing dark fantasy/humor with an East Tennessee slant.
The collection contains an introduction and several stories including "Marking the Signs" (the mother-in-law from hell--literally), "Blood Kin" (Hillbilly Vampires), "Ghost Writer," (why you should never agree to "ghost" for a ghost) and "Nice Truck" (wherein a man dies before his time and comes back as his Ford pickup--this is a story I have read at several gatherings including The Tennessee Mountain Writers and the South Knoxville Festival and The Dogwood Art's Festival Literary Festival, so I am please to see it finally getting into print).
