but tim burtons view of batman wasnt anywhere NEAR dark enough for my tastes.
now this new movie looks like the batman movie ive always wanted.
and its got my fav bats villian...(Scarecrow).

A friend of mine said it was very dark. He said basically that this movie had Batman the way he wanted. He said it doesn't have any campyness and that it's more like a guy with some serious issues in a bat costume.

We are going to see it in about 30 mins or so

Schumacher is a fucking retard. He totally wrecked the last franchise. He wanted to bring back the goddamn 60s TV show in big budget movie format.

Christopher Nolan wanted this film to look like Bladerunner. Dark and bleak.
Christian Bale is a great choice. He's a very versatile actor, and never really comedic, which is perfect for the role of Bruce Wayne.

I got my hopes up, going to see it Friday.

agreed. originally i wasnt excited about this flick, then they announced Bale in the slot i got excited.

im warning ya, this movie is a SEVERE year oner, but ill tell ya this...
i like some of the explanations in this movie better than the ones ive read (and read and read from where DC changes the bat-toys around alot).
acting is great.
movie is DARK AS FUCK. just the way it should be.
only bitches are katie holmes (batman need no woman) and the fight scenes are cut in a way that if your wondering how batman fights in the comics.... well your gonna keep wondering because damned if you can see SHIT.

burtons batman was too far out there even for batman, and not dark enough.
burtons batman was probably all round a better movie though.

This movie proves again that Batman is not to be fucked with. Bale is great in it, as he is in just about every movie he's in. And now theres talk of Mark Hamill being the next Joker. Of course anyone that watched the animated series knows this will be badass.
