• A Vampire Group Of Knoxville

Now I know a lot of you who are reading this are thinking "Aw crap, another Masquerader!" but I promise you, that I am not. I am a very real vampire who would like to try to get together with others who are intersted in Vampirism. I am the organizer of the Vampire Meetup groups on Meetup.com but I am currently having trouble getting anything started because it has been so long since someone has tried. I would very much like to see a vampire group happen in Knoxville. A group where people can come and be free to ask questions about things they want to know, to see what it means to be a vampire and to be around other vampires. If anyone would like to help me with this I would be very appreciative. Thank you and blessings to you all.

Are you talking about Role-Play, Lifestyle, ect...What, exactly...

I'm afraid to say, that you may have a hard time actually getting a cohesive group here in Knoxville...Most of the ones that would truely be interested here (depending on your definition), aren't very well, worth having.................

I suppose Caustic is no longer on this board, so I'll cut and paste his wonderful response to the vampyres.

Hi! My name's Caustic. While I don't often care to pipe up, in this case, having watched Blade and The Omega Man, I believe I have some constructive advice to give you. First, whatever you do, do not allow the vampires to take over the world. This would be an entirely negative thing for all parties involved, and will certainly hinder finding a cure.

Two, remember that your mother, though she may have birthed you, is now the undead, and as such, will turn upon you in a heart beat. If your heart beats. I dunno. At any rate, do not hesistate to impale her when the time comes. The old phrase still rings true: "Better a bird in the hand than your vampiric mother wearing your intestines as a party hat."

Third, you're going to need a scientist. I'd recommend one who's female and sympathetic to your plight. It also helps if she tends to work late nights and/or has been attacked by vampires previously, helping her to understand the severity of the situation. Once everything has been explained to her and she has the lowdown, offer to take her to the nearest Kroger; from what I understand, garlic is always a key ingredient in such cures. Also, do not let your vampire mother kill you. That's such a key point, I felt the need to stress it again.

And to the person who started this, We're not really picking on you, it's just interesting you chose to introduce yourself in this way..

What I want to know from a real vampire is how do you actually kill a vampire?

I mean, we all know the old garlic, crosses, holy water, sunlight, stake to the heart stuff, but then again Anne Rice challenged some of those and we were left clueless.

I know its not beneficial to let us know how to kill you, but I want to know so I can defend you against such in the future..really.. I mean, if I'm working the door at temple I can say, "check your garlic and crucifix here please."

And I'd totally hate to wear a crucifix to Sanctus and burn someones eyes or something...that would be such a faux paux.
