Two short poems....

I write a fair amount of poetry, though I'll admit not all of it will fit within the topic of this forum. I am grateful though to have found this forum because the pieces that will fit here are usually harder to get feedback on in more mainstream circles.

Damned, I
Desire what’s not mine,
still others I decline.
I stand far from the just,
with damned in disgust.
Over now, beyond storm;
hand is cold, touch still warm.
Mourn passing, dying love,
rest in a shallow grave.
Forget this hidden shame,
for I have not changed.
Feeling only skin deep,
emotion cannot keep.
Loss masked in passion,
myself after fashion.
Facade of living,
yet only surviving.
Again try, again fail,
Fate shall always prevail.
Chance brings that to adorn,
destine to die, in scorn.
This cannot, shall not be;
the end, the death of me!
Damned, forsaken I,
tears unshed, hollow cry.

Dark Seed
Come and sit in my chamber,
and listen to my dark fantasy.
Come and move a little closer,
and enjoy the insanity.
So you think you know truth,
know who tells the lies.
I say you know of nothing,
I'll tell you who to despise.
Listen as I paint a canvas,
and watch the colors move.
In the currents they live,
is this your god they prove?
Now I kill the light,
and the colors recede.
Does this god remain,
or does your faith bleed?
Reaching out for nothing
you find the canvas gone.
Hear my mad cackle;
you are now my pawn.
You cry out for the light,
I let there be light again,
You cry out for the canvas,
and thus I entertain.
I have taken your world,
and then granted it return.
Does this make me god?
That is not my concern.
You see, I did not force you,
rather you brought me forth
I am the doubt inside
to which faith gave birth.
Yes my subject sweet,
it is you who wander,
I only reflect what is shown
left for you to ponder.

And now, inspired by Jay's post for the six word story:
Left turn, right street; wrong way.
