I don't know if anybody ran a poll of this before or not. And I'm too lazy to search to see. Just curious what everybody here runs on their computer.

Well, that's difficult for me. I voted OSX because that's what is on my main system, but I also have PCs running XP, Slackware, and I had one running a copy of BeOS a while back, but I'm not sure if I still have that one or not.

Yeah, in hindsight. I got to thinking myself. I use Fedora on one of my computers and WinXP on my gaming computer. But my all around internet/desktop computer that I use the most is now Ubuntu Linux.

I gave Ubuntu a try not too long ago. I like, it's pretty slick. I still like Slack better, but the people doing Ubuntu have got something nice there.

I had to vote Win 2k because I'm at work, and we don't have an internet connection at our new house yet.....
But, at home I have Win 2k, and P.H.L.A.K. (bootable by CD)

I just found out that I still have OS2 Warp 3. Don't get me wrong: I refuse to put it on anything that I own. So I can't claim that I run it.
But hey, I have it.

i just tried out the latest ubuntu livecd on my notebook - the only thing it didn't support 'out of the box' was my wifi nic, and that's 'cause it requires ndiswrapper (stupid, but free micro$oft card...). i'm thinking that unless i find some uber-advanced, installs-linux-then-makes-me-a-sammich distro between now and when i resize my ntfs partition, this notebook will be running ubuntu.

Yeah, I love that distro for desktop use. I recommend it to anybody generally just looking to try Linux without any prior knowledge. I'm about to try out Kubuntu soon though to see if I've been missing anything in the KDE world. I haven't messed in KDE in a very long time. On another note, I setup KnoppMyth for my media box in the living room last night. I spent forever and a half trying to get the stupid remote working under several different distros and cursed LIRC up and down just to find out that it's a design flaw of the Hauppage cards that makes the IR receiver not really fit into the connection easily. Apparently, you have to angle the damn thing one way and force it in, but I finally have my remote working in Mythtv. I was very very happy to finally get that sorted out last night.
