Please o please let this get away without a rating. I saw Day of the Dead on its opening night back in high school, can't wait to do that again with this one. Long live shuffling zombies!

I love Zombies! I get scared like a little girl & have to hold on to my husband for dear life... who then proceeds to attempt to eat my brains. What fun!

Movie analysts aren't expecting it, but this movie has got to make number one at the box office this weekend. I mean, look at it's competition.
A washed up remake of "Bewitched" and Herby the friggin' love bug.

actually im thinking herby will get so many kids/teens/creepy old farts that wanna stick it in Lohan
AND
bewitched will get most of the norms, dates, ect
AND
batman is still makin mega bacon
AND
that damn brad pitt movie
SO
unfortunately im afraid to share the prediction because theres hella factors involved.
BUT
if it does seriously saying we need to throw a party over it.
i mean Romero beating out a star wars flick, batman, teen flicks, and the token date movies.
im betting it in the top 5, but i really think batman will keep it this week.
but devils rejects will get number one when it comes out, which hardly seems fair.
what angers the fuck out of me is if it doesnt get to number one, this romero comeback may be way to shortlived.

Batman was great, but I think most people who are going to go see it already did last weekend. I hope Land of the Dead at least makes the top 3. It wasn't even mentioned in the news section of the IMDB as being a competitor at the box office this weekend, which I think is at least underestimated.

Sad but true, date and family movies are usually on top when there is not a mega blockbuster out on a new weekend, but the fanbase for this is bigger than analysts expect I think. We'll see.
'Batman' Fails To Rescue Box Office
Batman did not save the box office this weekend. Batman Begins' estimated $46.9-million gross turned out to be some $15 million less than what most analysts had expected. With the top 12 movies' total adding up to $128.5 million, down 1.6 percent from the comparable weekend a year ago, the box office slump would lengthen to 17 weeks, tying a record set in 1985, if the numbers hold when final figures are released later today (Monday). For the year, the total take has been $3.84 billion, 7 percent below last year's $4.11 billion. Still, $46.9 million ain't small potatoes for a movie, and many analysts seemed confident that Batman would perch on top of the box office again next week when the Dark Knight/Caped Crusader's major competition will be the family films Bewitched and Herbie: Fully Loaded. The only other new film at the box office this weekend, The Perfect Man, starring Hilary Duff, took in just $5.5 million to place seventh. Last week's winner, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, performed respectably in its second week, earning $27.3 million, to bring its total to date to $98 million. DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar held the third spot with $11.1 million, down a modest 35 percent, while in the fourth spot Fox's Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith added another $9.7 million to it gross, which now stands at $348 million. Paramount's The Longest Yard rounded out the top five with $8 million.
