I loved the ending of the article....
``Just being able to go out and do what I want to do - when I get to that point,'' he says, ``I've reached my goal.''
And his timetable for that?
``At least 15 minutes before I die,'' he jokes.
He pauses, smiles and reconsiders.
``Maybe a half-hour.''

"Any way you slice it, we did what we set out to accomplish,'' Harris says. "If Patrick wouldn't lose another pound, I'd think he had been a success. ... Anything else I get out of him is gravy"

Even now, that man is gravy.
But, I have to admit, the guy in front of me at work had that surgery, and goddamn if he isn't feeling and looking healthier every day. He exercises every day, of course, but the limit on his food intake has helped just as much. Before I saw it as a weak person's way out of being fat. Now, well, some people might very much benefit from it.
Of course, after losing 120lbs in three months, he's thinking of having plastic surgery to get rid of all that extra skin. So maybe doing things the natural way isn't so bad at all...
