The acting sure as hell better not suck as bad as the last one. Everything was great except the climax ("I must... kill... you... dieeeee dieeeeeeee") and that still pisses me off they ruined such a good movie with terrible actors. Anyways, hopefully Saw2 will be better. It's already creeping me out with the broken fingernails on the main page :puke:

the effect they wanted??????? i didnt know that bad acting was a good thing or an effect directors actually want in a movie. (unless it is an evil dead-ish campy flick) sweet, well they acomplished it!!!

MPAA Sees 'Saw II' Ads, Nixes Them

The MPAA's Advertising Administration board on Friday rejected ads for the upcoming horror film Saw II that distributor Lions Gate had already sent to some websites. The ads had shown dismembered fingers, which the board said violated its standards. The MPAA also demanded that Lions Gate recall all advertising material that it had sent out to theaters until the Advertising Administration board appraises its suitability. (The film has not received a rating, although the advertising material reportedly displays an R rating.) Marilyn Gordon, director of the Advertising Administration, said in a statement: "It is essential that film distributors comply with the rules of the Advertising Administration so that parents retain the confidence they have in the ratings."

LGF has put up an animated comic Saw: Rebirth on the website:

"Set in the world of SAW, goes back in time to explore the events that spurred the transformation from mild mannered John to the monstrous Jigsaw."

It could be because I am pregnant, but scenes of this movie almost made me pass out.

its EXTREMELY well done, but still is a few things away pacing wise to being a 4 star movie.
the gore scenes intragrate perfectly. it doesnt even break up the movie.

Russo and I saw it yesterday. I went in with low expectations, and came out thoroughly impressed. A couple of scenes really made me cringe, and were actually hard for me to watch, which NEVER happens to me while watching a movie. Overall I liked it better than the first one. The formula they went with totally works.

the first 15 minutes and the last 20 minutes alone are worth seeing over and over again, but the beauty to me was really how the gore, the little details, and the textual clues were done so fucking well.
i mean i can understand why people dont like this movie. but only if they lost sight of the extreme fucked that is contained in the subtle details because it made them sick.
and i can easily see why this flick would make you sick.
two thumbs up

Better than "Kiri kiri kiri kiri..." in Audition? That really had me shivering. I may have to give this a shot. Sounds like fun.

You know, I never found Audition to be all that frightening. Sure, the needle scene was uncomfortable, but the needle scene is SawII is just... what's worse than uncomfortable? Hemorrhoidic. Like hemorrhoids on your eyes.
