Rain

As I lay here listening to the rain fall from the sky
I wonder to myself a reason why.
Why is this world so full of pain?
That it constantly falls down just like the rain.
I see sadness and sorrow
When I look in their eyes.
Do the people fear for tomorrow?
Have they already said their goodbyes?
Maybe oneday we can reach an understanding.
Then there will be no reason for demanding
Unnessacery deaths of the people we love.
Gone now to the Gods in the heavens above.
Only then can we wash away this pain
With the cold cleansings waters of a good rain.
