I saw portions of the exhibit in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry. Kicked ass. There was one body that had been cut into slices vertically and it actually stretched out about 25 feet. One of the coolest things I've seen. It was not gross or disrespectful, but rather educational and quite interesting.

I've seen articles about the exhibits in different cities and the public reaction to it. The people that are raising the most hell about it are elected officials and we know they are not the cream of the crop when it comes to intelligence.

People "vote" on what they want in their town or city by either going to these exhibits or staying away. When will elected officials finally realize that they don't need to protect us from everything? Let the public make it's own decisions about what they want to see or not see and keep the government out of it. We have become a nation of victims, afraid to offend anyone.

And one day, people will realize that a dead body is mass and not a living thing that will have its feelings hurt because people see it in a display. Seriously, I could care less what happens to my body after I die. It's not like I'll be needing it. I'll probably go with cremation, donation, or whatever the cheapest means to dispose of my useless corpse so that the people I left behind don't get suckered into shelling out tons of money for headstones or any of that stuff. Hell, I think respecting the living is where governments and the population in general should be focusing on.

It was fantastic, much better to see this in person in 3d than looking at images on the net. When you're in front of these models, you do begin to feel somewhat self concious. I began massaging my muscles and flesh just as a reflex. No, not that muscle.

Unfortunately, cameras were not allowed.

This red tape board in Gainesville who turned down the request does not have any enforcement powers, so legal action against the museum is unlikely. And even if they did take things into court, they would lose, because this state firmly believes in free reign for tourism commerce.

How does the Castle (the hassle, lol) compare to the clubs in Knox? They opened a nice new place in Ybor called Czars, if you ever visit Tampa again you may wanna pay it a visit.
