Sweet deal, I didn't know they were hitting Knoxville. I was thinking about going to Nashville to see them Monday, but I had decided against it due to money constraints. I will definitely try to make this showing though.

They are probably coming to Knoxville either because it was convenient or because one of their members, Mick Murphy, is a former Knoxvillian. I figure I will at least check out the show on Wednesday, since they are here.

That's interesting if only for the fact that a "real" band is playing a place as small as the Corner Lounge. I mean, that place is smaller than the Pilot Light.

Damn...I don't know if I'll be able to make it to this....but My Ruin is a great band!!! Mick Murphy was formally in Hypertribe(a well-known local band in Knoxville throughout the 90's).....he was also one of the top guitarists in Knoxville for several years in a row

i thought they were a Crisis (who im a 8 year fan of now) ripoff that was supposed to sound more like kitty (who sucks more dick than a porn star in a 500 man gangbang).
either way i picked up one of their debut cd in a closeout bin for 3 bucks and wanted my three bucks back.
ive heard as their career progressed they got pretty good, i just never bothered to look at it again. and it seems i know alot of fans to that band.
cool a local boy plays with them though.
might show up just to see if they ever got any better or not.
