THIRD ANNUAL HANK DAYS TO BE HELD IN HISTORIC OLD CITY
Hank Days 2005: A Celebration of the Life & Times of Hank Williams, Sr., scheduled for Saturday, October 22 from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., will be held in the historic Old City in downtown Knoxville. This annual event will explore the music and contributions that Hank Williams made to the East Tennessee region, as well as the inspirations and influences our area provided him and the hundreds of other early country music artists.
According to Hank Days festival organizer Jacqui Alexander, "Williams' songs articulated the lives and loves of his listeners, and although many years have passed since his death, many of his 170 recordings still resonate with the people that live in and around the Smoky Mountains.â€
