An interesting blog about how the media has to label Scott Dyleski as a "goth" and how the label is so generalized. Because there are so many definitions of what "goth" means to people, the media spins it to be this evil thing.... I dont think this murder has as much to do with goth as it has to do with a woman getting in the way of pot cultivation. a crime to cover a crime.
Very early on the morning of October 20, 2005, in California, a young man named Scott Dyleski, age 16, was arrested for the brutal bludgeoning murder of Pamela Vitale, age 52. Vitale was the wife of well-known defense attorney and legal analyst for various cable news outlets, Daniel Horowitz. Dan Riehl posted what appears to be a recent photo of Dyleski in a blog entry here. In August of 2002, Scott's sister Denika, 18 at the time, was killed in an automobile accident, along with her friend Sebastian Nebel. Apparently a surviving driver from the two-vehicle accident, Jennifer Bagher, was later charged with manslaughter.
It was hinted at already in news coverage of Dyleski's arrest that Scott Dyleski's behavior began to change in a marked manner after his sister's death. It has also been mentioned that a symbol was carved into Pamela Vitale's back. The police referred to the symbol as "goth," though it has been stated, on Nancy Grace's show on CNN Headline News, that the symbol was a Lorraine Cross. The Lorraine Cross, according to several sources, was first used during the crusades by the Knights Templar, and in World War II by the French Resistance, a symbol they chose purposefully to stand against the hakenkreuz, or "hooked cross" -- the swastika, so infamously adopted by the Nazi movement as one of its chief symbols. I don't know what sources Nancy's producers at CNNHN used to find out about the Lorraine Cross, but I could find no overtly occult meaning in its use. It has also been used by the Masons, so I suppose if one buys into the many conspiracy theories extant about the evil intent of Freemasonry, then maybe there is truly something dark and foreboding about this symbol.

Yea...if you read the MetroPulse article this week about the girl who was murdered. The main suspect is labeled as "goth." The kid looks like a short bus rider to me...but I guess stupid and sloppy killer is the new goth...

They are basically getting their info from his classmates, who of course have no idea what they are talking about and/or hyping shit up.

"Former classmates recalled Dyleski, who turns 17 later this month, as a nonconformist who tested out of Acalanes High School early. One described him as gothic. Another, Keith Kingon, said that Dyleski told people he was reading the book of Satan and that he once drew a pentagram on the ground with chalk in junior high and danced around it. "

moron goes murder. add the goth keyword for google. then blame masons and or occult. this is the cookie cutter.
ok so the kid found a fucking religious symbol and used it. big goddamned deal.
the media is using the gothic buzzword because right wing conservative parents are afraid of it
big goddamned deal.
and people are making up stories so fuel some witchhunt.
big goddamned deal.
THIS HAPPENS REPEATEDLY, AND THEN WHEN THE KIDS GOT SOME TYPE O NEGATIVE or DEATH METAL CDS THEY CALL HIM GOTH.
this should be ignored by EVERYONE thats not a part of it so the media cant to this sensationalist bullshit anymore.
unless your manson, you know hes gonna get blamed in this somehow. GO HIDE BRIAN! GO HIDE!
this is a witchunt to distract people from real news. like diverting attention from the supreme court justice shit going on... or the war... or well pick a bush-ism.
its called sensationalist media.
DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
this story is in the connection of that victim to that kindergoth who couldnt take it.
and normally kids like that have a pretty damn sound reason for doing some shit, though murder is taking shit way to far.
It has also been used by the Masons, so I suppose if one buys into the many conspiracy theories extant about the evil intent of Freemasonry, then maybe there is truly something dark and foreboding about this symbol.
[/i]..
connecting this to the masons? fuck that shit.considering i grew up with masons (note: not guys in funny hats and midget cars collecting money, real masons) some quick facts about the family buisness.
a) they arent evil in the fucking least, thats propaganda started by rightwing assholes. to spread a rumor, all you do is claim your sides shit on someone else and change your name to someone on the oppositons side (*coughs* art of war *coughs*) and then you make a movie about it (*Coughs* more shit than i can count *coughts*)
b) the cross in question isnt a reserved mason symbols, the druids used it which is why the knights of the holy templar used it. (whos surivior formed the original masons, knights that the catholics pretty much disbanded for chosing god over organized governments version of god if you get the real story and dont believe everything you google)BIG DIFFERENCE.
the masons use it for symbolism. like every fucking thing else.
c)masons priorty number one buisness is known to the public. research it.

It cracked me up when the anchor told him that he was the first 'goth' he'd ever met. LOFL.

Damn it cuts him off.
He made a good point about if this was a murder by a kid who listened to country music would they be calling it country murder maddness?

Okay that had to be one of the more well spoken interviews I have seen regarding "Goths". You could tell the anchor wanted to get Voltaire to say something disparging, but Voltaire is just to smart and well spoken to let himself get put in that corner.
*Applaudes Voltaire!*
