Theres a fun thread over on NG,

People seem to be noticing that something is up (what? ), but i did point out that Our (knoxville) murder rate skyrocketed this week, drivers have gone insane, and the stock market was crazy, then some one posted this

http://folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu/recenteqs/
and
http://folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu/recent ... akes0.html

so have you noticed anything odd (or odder then usual)?

Or maybe Mother Nature is finely tired of all that damn Vol orange.. I wonder if I would hate football maybe not so much if the university had chosen another colour?

I'm just trying to figure out how one can fill out a "felt report" even if one doesn't feel it.

But that's just me trying to bring logic into the world again. I really should knock that shit off!

As a matter of fact...the orange represents the centers of the white daisies that grew on the Hill back in the 1700s...until the university mowed them all down to put the buildings up.

Nice to know the school had established its character even then...

This is good thing actually. While we do have the big nasty fault line out in west TN the time to REALLY worry is when thee are no quakes.

Small quakes = lettling off pressure gradually
NO quakes = Bullding up pressure for a really BIG quake

That is why there are so many Quake competitions....people gotta take the pressure off.

Should also note that it's orange instead of yellow because the school President at the time was partially color blind. *grin*

This past week has been really crazy! At my weekday job everyone was in really odd moods, and all the callers seemed to be really standoffish for no good reason. That or they were psychotically nice.

Actually, we had a small earthquake around Memorial Day. I think it has to be something lunar or astrological. Saturn entered the sign of Cancer on the 3rd and Mars will be entering Pisces on the 16th, for whatever its worth.

Okay I had a big long paragraph on the orange typed up then my internet conection crashed and im not typing it again, but i heard it was because of the hill billy conections, Hill billies being billies suporters of the prodistant King William. (Ties into the orange men who still march around Ireland) and the large Scott/Irish population in this area. But dont know the dependability of the source (though the story about hill billys is true).
