They're not trying to block it, they're just trying to block making it mandatory. Personally, I'm not sure whether or not I would agree with making it mandatory, but I don't like their reasoning as to why they don't want it to be mandatory. They believe that it will put a damper in their abstinence campaign. When it comes out, I will take it myself and if I had any kids, I would have them vaccinated too.

Hrm, well until they make a vaccine that prevents pregnancy and HIV I don't think they have to worry too much lol.
I don't personally like the idea of mandatory vaccines. They aren't the safest things all the time.

i don't care for kids. and don't intend to have any. but its that kind of attitude of being in power and trying to force your personal morality down society’s throats makes me want to go out and knock somebody up.
sort of makes me wonder if the government has put a damper on the development of the AIDS/HIV vaccine. Because that is part of their primary argument for the whole abstinence thing.
Oh no! if they come out with vaccines for STDs then the American people can go fuck all the dirty whores they want!

maybe they are making it mandatory because 50% of sexually active men and women are infected with the virus..

I posted that shit like a year ago.
It most likely won't be mandatory...not for around 5 or 10 years after its been out...for safety reasons.

I like what this woman said: "Just because you wear a seat belt doesn't mean you're seeking out an accident," Kaye said.

funny you mention. theres alot of articles printed on that, mostly conspiracy but enough to make you seriously wonder. and if thats the case, i think that every person whos interrupted that research needs to be shot.

Yeah I have read some of the same articles. but even those articles aside, you really have to wonder, if they are taking such a strong stance against this vaccine for the reasons they are stating, you really have to wonder what their response would be if someone developed a vaccine for AIDS or Herpes.
As for mandatory vaccinations, as long as they have been rigorously tested, my only issue with them would be based on who had to pay for it.
Which I do not think a vaccine for AIDS should be very far off. They actually have several documented cases of people who have developed an immunity to the virus without the help of medical science. one case i remember was a hooker in asia who had been exposed to AIDS at least a few hundred times but never got HIV.
love you to JC

actually it's more like 65% to 70%....scary statistic. If the vaccine becomes available for adults, I will most definatley get it. As far as manditory...that's a whole other issue.

Yep, according to the Centers for Disease Control-
Approximately 20 million people are currently infected with HPV. At least 50 percent of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives. By age 50, at least 80 percent of women will have acquired genital HPV infection. About 6.2 million Americans get a new genital HPV infection each year.
So, girls, when we are 50 we can safely start KnoxgothicHPV.com lol.
