Why is there a division?

I came here to this site, knowing what I was going into. A tight knitt community of friends. I was accepted for who I am. Can we not accept others for who they are? You all for the most part accepted me, even after I made that dumb remark about the people in Athens, for that I am grateful. But ive noticed a clear division here, its like if you are not on the in crowd, your not worth a dime. Im not going to even touch the goth/christianity shit throwing contest thats going on now, junkie christ is right, LET IT BE!!! But why is it I see hate for people that we dont even know. I thought we were an excepting community. I mean no harm by this post, I have no wish to step on anyones toes, I would just like to see this hatred for people that are different to stop, we get enough of that shit everyday on the streets....thanx for ur time

Being considered an alternative community and being a part of that community... doesn't mean that we have to agree with everyone's views. It also doesn't mean that there are people here that are not fucking idiots.
Just because I wear black doesn't mean that I have to tolerate stupidity from others that wear black. That's like saying that everyone that shops at Abercrombie is stupid and ultra trendy...I'm pretty sure there are a few of them that are quite intelligent...and that they don't put up with others stupidity just because they like a few of the same things.

Your right. Everyone "except" goth-hick wee-tards.
Seriously though, some people just aren't with it, and there is a reason for that. It's natural selection.
Some people just haven't done their research before coming on here and posting some of the lame ass shit they do. They end up making themselves look clueless or in dire need of attention.
We can't all be in the uber cool club, kids. Deal.

Hahaha...so true. so true.
Just 'cause I have been around this group of people for years now, I've discerned which people are worth a damn and which are not. However if I attend a show full of those indie fuckers, I feel totally out of place, and since I don't listen to lots of obscure bands, I am totally not in the uber cool club.

This web-site has been that way from the begining...even though I kinda disapeared for awhile........if you get on here and start shit or make stupid statements expect to get torn apart. The beauty of it all is that we can all still hang out together and get along in some capacity.

i'm honestly totally indifferent about 95% of members on this board
i came here to talk to a few people that no longer post here
and met a couple of more people that still do
and we have mutual friends
otherwise i would have been splitsville long ago

I'm sure you speak in jest, because in person you're a totally mature and gracious guy. However, this is a great example of the high-school mentality I've constantly seen since I moved to knox.
Don't get me wrong, I'm as flawed as the next person. I just find the concept altogether of Social Darwinism within the knoxville "goth" scene to be hilarious.

We celebrate individualism in this scene. But that doesnt mean we will like everyone and everything.
As a wise man once said, opinions are like assholes.... everyone has one and they all stink.
We just ask that everyone conducts themselves here civilly.

Wait...
"In crowd?"
Goth?
Isn't that a contradiction of terms?

Celestial Dung Drama Shields at maximum
*boop*
*boop*

But seriously, there's drama everywhere, no matter where you go. But this is one of the more accepting and less cliquish scenes out there. So enjoy...[/code]

thanx for the replys guys, i just wanted to know where everyone stood, and now i do. As i said before, i had no intention of stepping on toes, nor trying to make people pissed, i was just a lil confused. I do relize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and i do relize there are a lot of stupid people out there, Hell when I first got here I was one of them.

*spelling nazi mode on*
You do
realize that any spelling mistake immediately confers upon you the status of Mildly Annoying, no matter how many
replies you receive.
*spelling nazi mode off*
Be wary for the grammar nazi and punctuation nazi are lurking about as well
