one last attempt to get a point across without it degenerating into a fight. I had a good time dancing around and making you charge round in this forum with your swords out. I'm a spoon , amongst other things :)

My point was this.
Hardcoregirl , the moderator I was refering to made the statement . "I absolutely discriminate against ignorant people"
To break it down , so that you can at least see the message , let's do this.

"I absolutely discriminate" . Discriminate is used as a verb. It is used in the sentence to describe the action this moderator was pursuing. Remove the adverb and you get "I discriminate"

Against who? "ignorant people". In the context of the thread that clearly means Christians . 10 out of 10 people, who bother to read what I'm talking about, should agree that Hardcoregirl is refering to Christians. Categorizing ALL Christians as ignorant. That's a biggoted action . I'm not saying that this action absolutely defines her , but she did say it .

So, we have "I absolutely discriminate"; the action of pursuing a path of discriminatory behavior . Then we have that action applied to the the Christians , refered to as "ignorant people" .

Summation : We have the moderator openly admitting that she follows a course of discriminatory behavior against a group of people merely because of their spirtual beliefs. It's a clear and open admission of exactly what i went off about. She even goes a step further by stereotyping all Christians as ignorant .

Now , I'm sorry if you don't see it . But it's palinly there. I could wax further about he Comment "I gave it up for logic" by why bother? the proof that I had a point to adress could not be bettre established . Have good Evening and Life . I'm out and off to the beach.

I'm a christian..and i know i'm not ignorant..so i'm not offended when people say Christians are. I dont really care if people dont believe as i do..or see things the same way i do. Everyone is entitled to how they feel and believe. Sure maybe that goes against the whole religion=militant crusaders standard but you know..-i- believe that the best way to show people what i'm about, is to be loving and kind and patient (etc)..and different in my own way. Set apart..even if most people cant really put thier finger on it. If they do happen to ask..i tell them, but i dont force it on anyone. I try to follow the words in red..lots of religious folks dont like me too much, but the ones who have a real understanding of things..know where i'm coming from. But hey..it was the pharisees that crucified Jesus in the end so what the hell.

Sometimes it's best to just let people voice thier opinions, and yanno..if it doesnt apply to you, and you know it isnt true (opinions arent facts...they are just opinions, might be facts in the perception of the opinion holder, but still)..then why get all bent out of shape over it? I've been here a while, and she has never made any descriminitory (er..its too early to look up the spelling of that word) remarks towards me as a person..so dont let her view of religion make you think she would. A lot of people have been very hurt by religion, and you have got to make allowances for that.

If you'll go away, I'll say, "sure I discriminate against christians."

But saying that because I talk about discrimating against ignorant people in a thread about christianity = means I consider all christians ignorant is fucking retarded.

There, I discriminate against you. I think you are a fucking moron.

People like you make me detest christians like you .

Yes I am a thinking person who makes judgements on people, a person who callously lumps people into "people who are intelligent and people who are ignorant" categories. You are the latter.

Not that it really means anything, but I am an anthropologist, and one of the goals of anthropology is to explore human diversity. Christianity is simply a religion and blind faith is part of many. If I discriminated against christians I'd be discriminating against the vast majority of humanity. I do not treat my christian friends any less that I treat my pagan, buddhist, agnostic, or hindi friends.

Some great thinkers in the world are christian...one of my favorites being C.S Lewis. I own the majority of his books and find him to be an extremely intelligent theologist. However, I only believe I've ever met about 5 people in my life that I felt tried to follow the teachings of what they say this man Jesus Christ taught and the rest fail miserably.

I do not discriminate against christians or any other members of any religion...unless you mean that I note the distinction that they are Xtian or buddhist or what have you. Because in that case, sure I do, I have a brain. However I believe you are using discriminate in its most derrogatory sense.

I would like to say that I wholeheartedly discriminate against liars, assholes, rednecks, racists, homophobes, hate-mongers. drama queens, nazi's, leaders of genocide, people that blow up abortion clinics and the like. Seem these are the people I consider ignorant. Their application for gothdom is totally gettin' denied by me. If I followed the teachings of jesus perhaps I'd go hang out with them and love them, but oops, I"m not xtian.

I often say that the one thing I cannot tolerate is intolerance. So, for you to accuse me of being intolerant toward the majority of the world, simply because they believe in the supposed son of god really fucking pisses me off . I am quite tolerant of christians except when they decide to not be tolerant of other religions or peoples.

I really think that if you are going to go around arguing religion and the like, it would be much better for your cause if you did it intelligently. I think you are cementing people's dislike for xtianity more than being an shining example of a good xtian. And if you aren't gonna be a balls to the wall, genuine hardcore xtian, whats the point?

Bravo, Morgan.

Seriously, this argument is ridiculous.

Discrimination? You think that because someone makes a random comment on a message board it is discrimination?

I suppose you have never been a woman, or an African American, who was passed up for a job due to gender/race. Or you have no idea what it is like to be mocked or even be the victim of a hate crime because you are an American Muslim post 911. You seem to know the *true* meaning of discrimination because someone made a non-direct comment which you chose to take personally?

Please… you are pathetic.

And if you want to claim to be a Christian, act the part. You know, the “Christ-likeâ€

Hello All,
This will excite you as it is my final posting . I have a life . This past week off has proved amusing . Watching as the veins pop out on your collective foreheads . It's in my nature to play with people and you guys were great puppets . Easy to rile . When someone angers you , they control you . I've done both .

Hardcoregirl : Your definition , standing alone , is correct and harmless . You did something more than what the definition covers . When you discriminate between Latte and expresso , no harm no foul . That's what your definition covered . When you discriminate against people because of thier , race , creed , color , national origin , familial staus ,or thier religious beliefs , it's just plain wrong . Both Morally and legally(in most cases) Your behavior , in trying to belittle Christians , is deplorable . You know good and well what you meant . Don't forget , the thread is stll there for people to read and anyone with any education can comprehend your gist . You did exactly what organizations like the KKK do all the time . You attempted to classify an entire religious belief as ignorant . You even apologized to everybody on this site that you brought the troll . YOU DID ! It would not matter if it were Christians , Homosexuals ,Blacks, Jews, that you became offensive toward . It's still redneck behavior . Repentance is useless without first seeking forgiveness is useless . You should apologize to every Christian that logs on here , and maybe any you meet in the future . If you are really an anthropologist(and that'snot just a cyber fantasy) , you should be smart enough to now when you fuck up .

Asher : You are wonderful . A good Christian example ! However , being Christian does not mean that you are not to defend your faith . Faith without works is also useless . Do Not cow to these detractors . You've got something worth fighting for !

Ophelia : Following Christ is what I do . He took issue with people who did things that were contrary to the things he knew to be truth . He openly rebuked his diciples . even referring to Peter as "Satan" at one point . He ran the money changers out of the temple with a whip . I'm a little more laidback than that . I meerly challenge you verbally . Christ was diety , I am human (sort of) . I DO know some of you !

That being said , I shall honor your request to go away . It's easier than you think . It is only because I've been vacationing that I've had the time to make a showing here . You can respond at will , to try and shore up your bruised egos , but the one guy you would like to adress will not be reading it . The fact is that a statement was made , I called you on it , I showed you and everyone else where you were wrong and you will just have to live with that , Hardcoregirl .
