I would rather see him direct and produce more original material, but this is interesting...

i think it will be worth watching
i mean the concept and the story was always there, and the first 2 halloweens are in my fav horror lists.
but it did become a parody of itself.
i think this will either revamp Myers completely or it will become platnium polish on a terd.

And Quinten Tarantino is doing the next Friday the 13th. I'll believe it when I see it
Surely he's got better ideas in that scruffy head of his than treading those tired old waters. Halloween is probably my least favorite horror franchise. Not even a fan of the original. Super lame.
Edit - Open mouth insert foot. Guess Rob is really planning on going down this road, not just talking shit. I can only hope for something along the lines of Season of the Witch - an honest departure from Lil' Mikey Myers.

NOOOOO!!!
The future for horror movies appears rather hopeless... Even if it turns out halfway decent, it's still the principle of it all... The bastards can't form an original idea anymore... For instance, a remake of "The Omen" just came out yesterday? Shiiit!

"This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined," Zombie tells Variety.
